Our presenters shared some really interesting ideas at TEDxTampaBay and Michelle Malott of How Do You Innovate captured them graphically. Deep snow kept Jimmy Wale’s Flight from arriving in Tampa in time to present live at TEDxTampaBay. However, the TEDxTampaBay attendees viewed a live Skype session of Jimmy presenting on ‘FAILURE’. Thank you, Jimmy for trying so hard to get here, and then pretty much at the very last-minute, agreeing to the Skype session. It was great!

Peter Taylor has dedicated the rest of his life to designing the perfect pizza. Peter credits the Bible and Malcolm Gladwell with inspiring his decision. Peter built his own custom oven, makes his own cheese, and don’t even ask him about what he goes through to perfect his crust!

Elizabeth Davis tells of her inspiration to start a school for Women in Rwanda. Elizabeth’s poignant talk highlights the bright hope the Rwandan women have for post-conflict reconstruction in Rwanda. Thank you, Elizabeth, for flying all the way from Rwanda to present at TEDxTampaBay . In fact, Elizabeth traveled for more than two days to get from Rwanda to Tampa and arrived just a few hours before her presentation at TEDxTampaBay. We are proud to say that several of Elizabeth’s friends in Kigali were watching the live stream of our TEDxTampaBay event.
