Benoît Mandelbrot , a prominent mathematician who coined the term ‘fractal’ has passed away at the age of 85. In his presentation, he talks about what inspired him. His inspiration to think big started at age eleven when he realized that he may die at the hands of the Nazis in German occupied France.
